About Us
Dustin Gulbrandson, Co-Founder
Dustin grew up in Hartford, South Dakota, then later moved to Tea, where he resides today with his girlfriend Jasmine and their son Bentley. At a very young age he launched his career in high school by racing and fixing cars. He started working at Ultimate Automotive in Sioux Falls as an oil change technician. He was quickly promoted to a full-time mechanic. He moved to 41st Street Automotive in 2017. Three years later he purchased the business, then sold it in 2024 and founded Automotive Doctors. Dustin’s passion is helping his customers, taking care of their car and getting them back on the road safely. Dustin’s business goal is to stay in Tea, grow the business and pass it on down the family from generation to generation. In his spare time he still enjoys racing, but he also enjoys playing and watching sports, particularly the Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Twins & Timberwolves.
Travis Vanden Top, Co-Founder
Travis was born in Rock Rapids, Iowa where he still resides today with his wife Monica and their daughter Raelynn. Their home is only a half hour commute to their shop location in Tea, South Dakota. His passion for the automotive industry began in high school, when he started racing. It was then when he started gaining knowledge for cars and how to fix them. He graduated from Southeast Technology College in Sioux Falls, SD. Travis has been employed as a mechanic at Town and Country Implement, Vander Lee Motors, Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort, Rapid Auto Repair and 41st Street Automotive. He strives on solving a variety of mechanical challenges each and every day. His overall business goal is to create a successful business that continues to grow for years to come by being an honest repair shop and treating every customer fairly. In his spare time he enjoys spending time working on the farm and racing cars.
